There must be something in the Post-Rock Code (if the Pirates can have one, then why not post-rockers?) about being hard working and patient, for like ascendant post-rockers du-jure 65daysofstatic, Maybeshewill have been tirelessly but quietly (then loudly, then quietly, then in a strange time signature) working their way into a revered cult position which takes them far outside the confines of Leicester, not a town usually known for sonic experimentation.
With this, their first release in over a year, they've put their best foot forward, attempting to drum up excitement for a coinciding tour. It's a beguiling piece of intertwined guitar-lines and electronic experimentation, melodic to the last and very well produced. Forget the metaphors. It's a really fantastic track, and that's why you should listen to it.
