The music world has brought us many things this week; felony, intrigue, drugs, controversy, band splits and Ricky Hatton. It's no wonder we're a day late reporting on it all. Frankly, the drama has exhausted us.

WEEKLY NEWS ROUND-UP, 24TH SEPTEMBER 2008

Morning! We have all sorts of rock'n'roll madness for you today, starting with the news that Robbie Williams should launder his underpants ready for an imminent alien abduction. While it's arguable that it already took place back in 1995, UFO experts in New York have spoken about Robbie's dedication to discovering extra-terrestrial life, saying he could very well “disappear and then come back as an ambassador for their race”. At least Port Vale would notice an increase in supporters.

WEEKLY NEWS ROUND-UP, 17TH SEPTEMBER 2008

There's a dose of bad news this week folks, but things do pick up afterwards. Long-suffering keyboard player, Rick Wright, succumbed to cancer this week, aged 65. He had officially left the ongoing battle of egos that was Pink Floyd during the recording of The Wall but his services as a tour musician were indispensable long afterwards. An unsung hero.
